New Song At-A-Glance
New Song Community Church turned 16 on Sept. 27, 2008. We are a Southern California, externally-focused church, In 2007, we saw 784 invite Christ into their lives for the first time. 350 of those were on short-term missions trips to Mexico, Honduras, the Philippines and Thailand. The remainder took place through our direct ministries as a church.

Our belief is that the Lord will use us ever more fruitfully in 2009, as we continue with our current ministries and add to them a film-making business. "How to Save A Life", a movie about preventing teen violence and suicide, is due to be released in Fall 2009*.
*A recent survey of the top influences on culture day showed that the church doesn't make the list, whereas movies are the number one influence. So we decided to influence our world by making a movie.

New Song is very focused and intense about its mission, vision, and strategic significance to God's plans for the 300,000 people who reside within a 20 minute drive of our present location. Being 3 miles south of Marine Base Camp Pendleton, we have a huge heart for (and a huge population of) Marines and Sailors. Our building is situated 5 miles from the Pacific Ocean, in the historic "Mission district" of Oceanside.

We have seen over 5000 come to Christ in the last 16 years, planted seven daughter churches, helped launch four parachurch organizations (Outreach, Inc., Dynamic Church Planting International, Church Community Builder and Ministry Discounts), and are watching the birth of our fifth and sixth parachurch groups, called, "First the Kingdom," led by Wilmer Pena and "Homefront Ministries" led by Tim May. We are a multi-racial congregation, with an attendance of 1000+. The strength of our church is the next generation. Our next generation ministries are populated with teens and collegians who serve fervently throughout the church. Many have plans to be pastors, church musicians, and missionaries.

We are strategically positioned to minister to the Marine Corps and work in strategic partnership with chaplains and commanders on and off base. In addition, each week a dozen or more New Song teams partner with agencies and instutitions throughout the country to bring hope and help to the lost and least around us. Our goal is to be The Church Next Door, a church that is a great neighbor to the institutions agencies and individuals in our community. We believe that when Jesus said, "Love your neighbor as yourself," He intended that we do that corporately as well as individually, so we work to utilize the resources of the church as a whole to love our community as a whole.
