Frontline Ministry

The Frontline Ministry is the equivalent to the "offensive line" of ministries. Its mission is to seek out new ways to serve in the community and to put those ways into the hands of every person who walks through the doors of New Song. This ministry will make it easier for New Songers to find ways to tangibly make a difference in Oceanside. The point is to help church-goers to feel empowered to impact the community. Just one more way New Song is being the church next door.

BOMB Program

BOMB stands for Buy One More blessing!

The BOMB program is a simple but effective way for everyone to help eliminate hunger in our community. Just remember the next time you go to the store to "Buy One More...bottle, bag, box, basket, barrel, bunch...you get the point. Just buy one more for your neighbor."

The 3-Tiered Approach

The Frontline Ministry encompasses many aspects of service and evangelism. Each aspect falls under one of three sections of the ministry:

Community Service

The goal of this department is to get every small group involved in at least one community service event per year. From PromiseLand and the youth ministry, to the Life After Fifty small group, everyone gets to connect with an organizations. We support Brother Bennos, Bread of Life, Casa de Amparo, Solutions for Change and Kids Against Hunger.

 

Our Military Family: As neighbors to Camp Pendleton, New Song is a military-friendly church. We are sensitive to the special circumstances of our military families. New Song offers several small groups for military spouses and military couples. Call the church office to find out how you can get involved in a military small group. Social Service

This aspect of Front Lines seeks to connect members of the church to individuals in need. Finding the resources for those in need, whether it be rental assistance or finding some type of government assistance, this portion of the ministry will find the resources. By connecting members of the church, the working, the poor, and the homeless, New Song becomes a blessing to the community.

Search and Rescue Team

This evangelism team is a highly trained team of people who go out and witness to people on the streets. In order to be a part of this team, one must go through the Contagious Christianity class and attend ongoing street evangelism classes. The primary activities of this team are the Monday sack lunch day, the Wednesday night Cup o' Noodle night, and the Thursday/Friday morning bagels for breakfast events. This team witnesses to people through food.
