Small Groups
Our small groups are currently on break. We will begin our next semester the week of January 22, 2012
Small Groups: A place to know and be known and to love and be loved, while doing life together.
Becoming part of a small group is a great way to get connected at New Song. We offer many different small group meetings throughout the week. There is a group for whatever stage of life you are in. Now is the time to get connected. If you would like more information, visit the Small Groups table in the lobby or e-mail New Song Small Groups , or call at 760-560-5000.
What is a Small Group?
A small group is a fellowship made up of people, who meet regularly to share what is going on in their lives, study a relevant topic or section of the Bible, and create lasting friendships with people in the New Song Community.
How important are Small Groups?
New Song considers small groups to be the hub of our ministry. Small group is where real ministry takes place. God made us to "do life" within small clusters of friends, meaning He created us for community. This is why most people have only a few "close friends." As we go through our studies, meeting together on a regular basis, supporting, and sharing our lives with one another, we grow closer to God and one another.
Our Mission:
To help unchurched people become fully devoted followers of Christ.
Our Vision:
To touch every home and person in our community, with the love of Christ, by being the church next door.
Our Passion:
The foundation and nurturing of the Christian church happened because of small groups. Since the early Christian church, small groups transformed people's lives and caused the church to grow. We want to continue this pattern described in Acts 2:42-47 - To build community, through small groups one devoted follower at a time.
Where do groups meet?
Groups meet off and on church site
-Offsite Groups: Meet in homes or workplaces, in surrounding areas
-Onsite Groups: Meet around tables, in various rooms throughout the church
When do groups meet?
Groups meet based on their purpose. Typical times include:
-Weekly with all group members
-Whenever necessary to care for one another, serve others, or fellowship
Which group should I join?
We suggest you join a group based on your current spiritual needs, rather than geography or the night of the week. We found groups work best when you share common interest, backgrounds, or children of similar ages. And guess what? Sometimes it might take two or three groups before you find your perfect fit But don't worry, you'll find it!
