We are coming down to the wire in 2011. Here's what's coming up on Wednesdays...

11/9 & 11/16 are the last two official nights for small groups in 2011.  

11/23 we are off for Thanksgiving Break

11/30 is our Agape Feast "Thanksgiving Leftovers" edition

12/7 is a serving project. We'll be sorting clothes for distribution to people who need them, while we watch the movie Soul Surfer

12/14 is our annual Christmas Party & Talent Show. Students can sign up with Haylee Meyers.

12/21 & 12/28 we are off for Christmas break!

1/4 is a leadership meeting

1/11 is the return of Fall Out

1/18 is the Parents Dinner. Parents are invited to come get a meal, and discuss with Jim Britts and our adult leadership team our passion for partnering with parents in ministry to students.

Here's what to expect on Sundays...

11/13 we finish our Nehemiah series and talk about the Reach & Renew Campaign

11/20 & 11/27 we talk from Ephesians 4 & 5  about how to be the same on the inside and the outside in a series called "Inside Out"

12/4 we will join with the entire church for the annual "This Christmas" service

12/11 we will have our Middle School Christmas Service

12/18 we will join with the High School service for a special dramatic presentation

12/25 there is no church (students are encouraged to attend Christmas eve services with their families)

1/1 we will join with the adults for the single celebration service at 10AM

1/8 Middle School service is back!

We are one week into our Nehemiah series, joining with the whole church for the campaign!  Students will hear more about the Reach & Renew campaign in the coming 3 weeks and how they can play a role in reaching our community and renewing our church.

Which reminds me, there are only 3 SMALL GROUPS left in 2011!  Don't miss a single one.  We will continue to meet on Wednesdays after Thanksgiving (November 30, December 7, 14) for some special events which are sure to be great.  Check out the calendar just uploaded on the parent forms page.

Next Wednesday, October 26th is a Fall Out 2GO!  All groups will meet at the church for a few minutes, but by 6:45 your small group will have the entire night to yourselves.  Many of the groups have already made plans.

 If your group is going off-site, you MUST have a permission slip filled out and on file.  You can find that permission slip on this Website under the permission slip tab.  

GROUND ZERO will be here before you know it!  October 7th and 8th is just around the corner.  We'll have dinner, do something crazy outside at night, have a session that empowers students to have the best year ever, do some more crazy things, the girls will sleep at the foster's home campstyle in the living room, the guys will sleep overnight at the church, campstyle on the floor, we'll eat breakfast together and then break for the day.

 It is THE EVENT of the YEAR for our middle school ministry.  Don't miss it!

This Sunday we are kicking off a new series in the Middle School.  We're calling it "Pure Religion" and looking at what the book of James has to say about how our faith must affect our day-to-day lives. Here's a quick rundown on the series.

 9/18 - Dealing with Difficulty - 1:2-18

9/25 - Favoritism Forbidden - 2:1-13

10/2 - Facts about Faith - 2:14-26

10/9 - Taming the Tongue -3:1-12

10/16 - Patience & Prayer - 5:7-20

 On another note, we announced the return of the GROUND ZERO RETREAT last night.  Its happening Friday and Saturday, October 7/8 from 7PM to 9AM.  The flier and permission slip for this event is available for download on the permission slip page.

This next week is an exciting one.  Our 2nd annual Grade Takeovers begins this Wednesday, September 14th from 6:30-8:30PM. The 7th graders are up first and they are going to surprise you! We'll also start a new series that night called "Godquest."  A super smart guy named Sean McDowell put together some videos to help us investigate what we believe about God, and why - its going to be a great time.

In other news, this Sunday, September 11th, we will finish our "Friend Request" series, looking at Jonathan in 1 Samuel 18-20.  Its been both enlightening and super fun so far, and it will continue that way this week. On the 18th we'll start a new series called "Pure Religion" - looking at what the book of James says about our faith in our daily lives.
