Hi Parents! You spoke and we listened! In order to better partner with families, we have adjusted our Wednesday night small group – known as FALL OUT – from 6:30-8:30PM to 6:30-8:00PM starting January 11th, 2012. I know that for many of you, Wednesday is the one night of the week that your student is out later than normal. I hope this adjustment in our program time helps your family keep the schedule you want to keep. If you are worried your student will miss out on some of the fun a longer program offers, you can rest assured. Starting at 5:45 each week, we will offer HOMEWORK HANGOUT. We know that one of the primary obstacles to being a part of a small group is the daily homework assignments. We want to help! Adult leaders will be on hand who want to spend time with your student doing homework. Also, if you want to drop your student off early, the normal fun activities will be there – video games, pool & foosball, and some sports equipment will be available from 5:45-6:30. If you are not able to pick up your student until 8:30 (due to an adult small group or other commitment) we are also starting our new AFTERPARTY CHECKOUT. Since we will have many students leaving at 8PM, but some who need to stay until 8:30 we will begin a systematic checkout system. During the AFTERPARTY CHECKOUT students will be able to spend time with some of our adult leaders, play those same games that were available before, or even finish up homework they didn’t get finished earlier under the direction of our leadership team. Starting January 11th, you will have three ways to pick up your student. • Arrange in person with their small group leader to dismiss them to you at 8PM • Come into the youth area anytime between 8PM-8:30PM to pick up your student • You can pick up straight from your car in the back of the building. We’ll have a staff person outside with a walkie-talkie ready to relay inside who you are here to pick up.
